MY THOUGHTS

I have enjoyed this book.  I have never read anything by Gena Showalter before and I really like the way she writes.  I was afraid that after I had gotten into the story a bit that I would be somewhat lost that I hadn't read any of the others in this series yet but there is enough details in the book to get past that and can be read by itself.  I think that I personally would have preferred to start at the beginning only because of it being a series and sometimes I feel that I am missing something when a character comes into the story and there is not enough information for me to get a good feel for them but then when I begin at the beginning and a character comes into a scene I get to think back and remember what this character was like and the story behind them and I like that.  The way that Gena Showalter writes and the way the main characters are described makes you fall in love with them and sit back and enjoy them.  This has been a great read because it is how do I want to say this a fun but serious story.  I really like the fact that it is a book that you can just sit back, forget your day and get lost in a really great story.  I get a good feeling about this series and feel that I will enjoy starting this one from the beginning very much.  I feel that it is somewhat explicid with the romantic scenes but then again that is what will make or break the book for me and just shows how good the author really is when writing these scenes.
